Patrick Wolf – Wind in the Wires
UK’s wonder child singer, songwriter, violinist Patrick Wolf at the age of 21 he already released two critically well acclaimed full length albums Lycanthropy (2003) and Wind in the Wires (2005). Worked with collective Minty (does it ring a bell?) and other interesting line-ups.
This year he returns with a collection of dark British folk songs accompanied with a full ensemble of unusual instruments and strange sounds. Instruments played on Wind in the Wires were: Viola, Violin, Grand Piano, Plucked/Prepared piano, Vocal Chords, Baritone and Soprano Ukuleles, Kantale, Mountain Dulcimer, Farfisa Pianorgan, Farfisa Transivox Electronic Accordion, Piano Accordion, Guitar and Bass guitar, Kawai SX-240 and 100-P Synthesisers, Bodhran, Re-programmed Wild Electricity, Re-sampled found sounds and various percussion. Enough? Are you excited to hear the result yet?
